this lovely GSD knows how to sit like a boss…really cool trick! Were you able to teach your German Shepherd the “sit” command?

Teaching Your GSD to Sit
All pet dogs must learn basic obedience, and learning the “sit” command is a very useful skill for every dog to master.
In training your dog to sit, remember that you should only do it in a comfortable environment. Avoid having your training in a place where there are plenty of distractions. The best place is of course at home where there are limited distractions and your furry buddy can behave as naturally as possible.
Saying “sit!” and rewarding the dog is one of the most effective ways to teach him to sit. You can guide your GSD into a sit by placing a treat right in front of her nose. Every time his bottom drops to the ground, say “sit” in a friendly tone. Then reward the your pooch by petting him and by giving him his favorite treat.
Avoid yelling at your dog as they don’t respond well to negative reinforcement. Practice and patience is all you need to successfully teach your dog any trick. Dogs like humans also learn at different rates.
