This lovely German Shepherd is so happy to see his mommy come home from work. He’s so excited he greeted her at the window. So sweet!

Does Your Dog Suffer From Separation Anxiety?
So you come home from a long day at work and your dog is spinning and jumping all around you. While this behavior might be normal for a dog who misses his owner, it might also be a sign of separation anxiety. Other signs of separation anxiety in dogs include, excessive howling or barking while you’re away, as well as being restless and whiny when you’re about to leave. Also, a dog who follows you around may be a sign of growing stress.
There are plenty of ways you can do to help your dog overcome separation anxiety. Start out small by leaving him alone for just a few minutes. then extend the time to an hour. Try to increase the time you spend away. This way your dog will eventually be left alone for the entire day without any problem.
Also, it is recommended to take your dog for a walk before you leave for work. After the walk you can give your pal some treats or food and water. When your pet feels tired, he’ll probably just rest while you’re away.
Lastly, stay calm and never feel guilty or nervous. Your dog can feel these negative emotions. You have to let your GSD know that everything will be fine. Always project a calm and confident energy.
