Dogs in general just love to curl up on the sofa, the bed, and anywhere that’s comfortable and soft. Some dog owners think that their furry pals should not be allowed to stay on the bed or sofa because it may cause aggression or other behavior issues. However, there is nothing wrong with letting your German Shepherd lie on the bed or couch as long as you don’t send the wrong message by inadvertently reinforcing certain behaviors.
If your dog growls or snaps at you whenever you or someone tries to sit down with him, you should immediately keep him off the furniture. Making the couch or bed off-limits actually depends on your preference.
