This is Rev and his new friend or maybe new love, Mia. This is such a wonderful scene. Two lovely German Shepherds who seem to kiss each other. We just love dog kisses!

Do Dogs Understand What Kisses Are
While your German Shepherd knows what you want when say “kiss, he really doesn’t have an innate understanding kiss means. Kissing our dog is way of expressing our love to the dog. Most dogs would not know what kiss is at first, but in time they’ll learn that it’s a sincere gesture of affection.
Humans and dogs don’t have similar means of communicating. Dogs do not include kissing as a part of the language they “speak” in the sense we understand them. However, they share gestures of affection, like rubbing against each other or licking each other. Most domesticated dogs are good at figuring out our communication language.
But we very cautious about teaching your dog to kiss you as not all canines enjoy having their faces near anybody’s face. When your furry buddy shows some warning signs such as raising his lip, growling or turning his head away, don’t force him to kiss you.
